Novak Djokovic has conceded that he lost to the better player during the French Open final earlier today.
World number one Djokovic, who was appearing in his first final at Roland Garros, was unable to prevent Rafael Nadal from claiming his seventh title in Paris.
Speaking on court after his defeat, Djokovic insisted that he is keen to claim the trophy next year.
"I'm really privellaged to be here," said the Serbian. "I really enjoyed it but Rafa was the better player. I hope to come back next year and win the title."
Djokovic had been seeking to be the first player to hold all four Grand Slam titles in over 70 years.
