France's Jo-Wilfried Tsonga has advanced into the quarter-finals of the Miami Masters after overcoming Florian Mayer 6-3 6-2.
The match remained on serve in the opening set until Tsonga secured a break at 3-2 to move 4-2 ahead.
He eventually secured the set 6-3, with his German opponent struggling to cope with his powerful style of play.
Tsonga twice broke early in the second set to move 4-0 ahead, and the victor remained on serve to secure the win 6-2.
