World number 136 Camila Giorgi has admitted that she is happy with her performance at the US Open despite being knocked out in the fourth round.
The 21-year-old was beaten in straight sets 6-4 6-2 by compatriot Roberta Vinci at Flushing Meadows on Monday.
However, having won three matches in qualifying for the tournament as well as advancing from the third round of the American Grand Slam, Giorgi isn't too disappointed with her outing at the US Open.
"It wasn't my day, I didn't play good," Giorgi told reporters.
"It was a great week coming back from two months without playing and I played at a really good level."
Giorgi caused a shock upset in the third round by eliminating world number eight Caroline Wozniacki.
