Canada defenceman Shea Weber believes that his side had to be patient in their quarter-final win over Latvia at the Winter Olympics.
The Canadians were frustrated as they were held to one strike for the majority of the match as the Europeans held their own in the encounter.
However, Weber finally found the breakthrough with seven minutes to play to hand his side a place in the last four of the competition.
Weber told ESPN: "We had a lot of chances, but we knew it was going to be tough. You saw how many shots we had to take. You just have to stay focused and patient and stick to what you do well. Eventually, finally, it paid off for us."
Canada will now face the United States in the semi-finals.
