James Anderson: 'No way back for Kevin Pietersen'

James Anderson claims that Kevin Pietersen's hopes of playing for England again are gone due to the controversy surrounding his autobiography.

James Anderson has admitted that a return to the England set-up for Kevin Pietersen now appears to be impossible following the fallout from his recently-released autobiography.

Pietersen targeted a number of his former colleagues in the book, and suggested that Anderson was part of a group of players who created a bullying culture in the dressing room.

However, the 32-year-old bowler has dismissed those claims, and believes that any slim chance of Pietersen playing for England again now appears to be gone.

"The dressing room was a really nice place to be," Anderson revealed on The Claire Balding Show. "When you're in a winning successful dressing room, everyone enjoys being there.

"It is sad that all the stuff that has come out has been about what was a really successful period of cricket which I loved every minute of. It's a shame that this overshadows it.

"I can't really see a way back now for KP after what's been said, but he was such an amazing player, one of the best batsmen we've ever had."

Graeme Swann has claimed that Pietersen made the majority of his accusations in an attempt to attract publicity for his book.
