AC Milan midfielder Giacomo Bonaventura has been drafted into the Italy squad for Friday's Euro 2016 qualifier against Croatia.
The 25-year-old replaces Simone Zaza after the Sassuolo striker was forced to withdraw from the 28-man party through injury.
Juventus defender Andrea Barzagli has also pulled out of the squad, with Sassuolo's Francesco Acerbi taking his place.
Italy travel to Split two points behind leaders Croatia in the Group H table.
