AC Milan striker Antonio Cassano has undergone a number of hospital tests after falling ill last night, the Italian champions have confirmed.

The 29-year-old complained of feeling unwell shortly after returning from Milan's 3-2 victory in Rome yesterday evening.

Milan have so far refused to reveal the source of the complaint, but they have confirmed that the player was given medical assistance.

"AC Milan communicates Antonio Cassano has been taken to hospital for tests after feeling sick upon arrival at Milan's Malpensa airport following the flight from Rome," read a statement on the club's official website.

Milan take on BATE Borisov in the Champions League on Tuesday evening.
