Sports Mole previews Saturday's Turkish Super Lig clash between Antalyaspor and Konyaspor, including predictions, team news and possible lineups.
Sports Mole

Antalyaspor will look to end a run of four consecutive defeats when they play host to Konyaspor on Saturday.

The visitors, meanwhile, are in fine form after winning four of their previous five matches in the Turkish Super Lig.

Match preview

Two wins from their opening three league games have quickly been forgotten for an Antalyaspor side who have lost their last four matches.

Nuri Sahin's side are currently struggling at both ends of the pitch, having conceded 11 goals in their previous four games, while they have failed to score in their last three matches.

Antalyaspor were thrashed 3-0 by Adana Demirspor in their most recent outing, but with no game last weekend, they have had three weeks to prepare for Saturday's contest.

They will return from their break in 15th place, as they look to embark on a positive run of results, with only two points separating them from the relegation zone.

However, three defeats in their four home league games this season suggest that the hosts face a difficult task to claim all three points on Saturday.

While Antalyaspor are struggling for form, Konyaspor have enjoyed an impressive start to the season, losing only one of their opening eight league games.

Although the visitors currently occupy third place, they head into the weekend level on points with league leaders Istanbul Basaksehir.

After beginning the season with four wins and two draws, Galatasaray claimed a 2-1 victory to condemn Konyaspor to their first defeat of the season.

However, Konyaspor displayed their title credentials by immediately returning to winning ways thanks to a 1-0 victory over Umraniyespor last weekend where a Muhammet Demir strike proved enough to wrap up all three points.

Having kept seven clean sheets in their opening eight games, Konyaspor know that a strong defence will provide them with a platform to claim a positive result against Antalyaspor.

Team News

The hosts are without the services of Shoya Nakajima and Soner Aydogdu, who are both suspended for Saturday's contest after being sent off against Adana Demirspor.

Omer Toprak is a doubt after missing the last five games due to an injury issue, while Fernando is also expected to miss out.

Meanwhile, Ufuk Akyol is set to be given his first start of the Turkish Super Lig season, with the 25-year-old expected to partner Fredy in central midfield.

As for the visitors, they are unable to call upon Endri Cekici, who has missed the last two matches with an injury issue.

After serving a one-match suspension, Ibrahim Sehic is expected to replace Erhan Erenturk in the Konyaspor goal for Saturday's encounter.

Konrad Michalak returned from injury to start in the win over Umraniyespor, and he is set to retain his place in the side.

Antalyaspor possible starting lineup:
Boffin; Balci, Sari, Kudryashov, Vural; Fredy, Akyol; Ndao, Adriano, Ghacha; Wright

Konyaspor possible starting lineup:
Sehic; Oguz, Demirbag, Calvo, Guilherme; Michalak, Dikmen, Paz, Hadziahmetovic, Bytyqi; Demir

We say: Antalyaspor 1-2 Konyaspor

Although Konyaspor lost their most recent away game, they have won four of their last five Turkish Super Lig matches, and we think that the visitors will claim all three points on Saturday.
