A place in football immortality awaits either Argentina or France on Sunday as they go head to head in the World Cup final in Qatar.

For Argentina, it will be a chance to get their hands on the biggest prize in football for the first time since 1986, whereas France are looking to become only the third team to successfully retain the trophy - and the first since 1962.

There are sub-plots galore too, not least the battle between the respective talismans of both nations - Paris Saint-Germain teammates Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe.

Mbappe would break into the exclusive club of players with 10 or more World Cup goals should he score on Sunday, while Messi's five-goal haul in Qatar has already seen him become the 13th member of that illustrious group.

Here, ahead of the final, Sports Mole looks at the all-time top-scoring list in World Cup history, including every player to have reached double figures in the tournament.
