Olivier Giroud has claimed that Arsenal are in 'confident mood' ahead of Tuesday's Champions League encounter with Schalke in Germany.
The Gunners were comfortably beaten 2-0 by the Bundesliga side in their previous group match at the Emirates Stadium and also slumped to a 2-1 defeat at Manchester United in the Premier League on Saturday.
Despite the recent setbacks, Giroud insists that he and his teammates are keen to take away three points from the Veltins-Arena.
"We want to go to Germany with the idea of winning," the French striker told the club's official website. "We want to show our mental and technical qualities.
"We go to Germany confident. I know that Schalke will consider Arsenal as a good team, so although they won the first leg, we know that they expect to play a hard game because we want to do better."
Arsenal currently sit one point behind leaders Schalke in Group A of the competition.
