Sports Mole looks at how Arsenal could line up against Rapid Vienna in Thursday's Europa League clash.

Arsenal begin their Europa League Group B campaign with a trip to Austrian side Rapid Vienna on Thursday evening.

The Gunners lost 1-0 to Manchester City in the Premier League last weekend and face a difficult match against Leicester City next Sunday.

That could tempt Mikel Arteta into making changes to his starting XI for this match at the Allianz Stadion, where Rapid have won their last four games in a row.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how Arsenal could line up in the Austrian capital.

Out: Shkodran Mustafi (hamstring), Pablo Mari (ankle), Gabriel Martinelli (knee), Calum Chambers (knee)
Doubtful: Emile Smith Rowe (shoulder), Rob Holding (hamstring)

A couple of Arsenal's summer signings are in contention to make their full debuts on Thursday.

Runar Alex Runarsson has been forced to watch on from the bench since joining from Dijon last month, while Thomas Partey was a second-half substitute against Man City on Saturday.

A number of changes are expected elsewhere in the side, too, with Reiss Nelson, Joe Willock and Eddie Nketiah all in contention to return to the lineup.

However, due to a lack of other options in defence, it may well be a case of David Luiz retaining his place in the backline to provide the Gunners with some added experience.

Arteta does also have the option of switching to a back four, allowing him to add an extra central midfielder to the side.

Bukayo Saka was directly involved in more goals in the Europa League last season than any other Arsenal player, but he is likely to be given a breather on Thursday.
