Arsenal are reportedly weighing up a move for Sevilla centre-back Diego Carlos.
The Brazilian has impressed in the heart of the Sevilla defence during the 2019-20 campaign, chalking up 25 La Liga appearances as Julen Lopetegui's side lie third in the table amid the coronavirus postponement.
Liverpool have also been credited with an interest in Carlos, but the Reds could be likely to face stiff competition for the player's signature.
According to El Desmarque, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has taken a liking to the centre-back amid reports that the Spaniard is planning a major defensive overhaul at the Emirates this summer.
Nevertheless, the report also claims that Sevilla will have the upper hand in any negotiations for Carlos, with the 27-year-old possessing a €75m (£67m) release clause in his current contract, which runs until 2024.
Barcelona are also believed to be keeping a close eye on developments.
