Arsenal attacker Mesut Ozil has reportedly held secret talks with Fenerbahce in London with a view to joining the Turkish giants on a free transfer next summer.
Ozil has not played a single minute of football for the Gunners since March, having fallen out of favour under head coach Mikel Arteta.
The 32-year-old said on Wednesday night that he 'wishes' he had the opportunity to help the team overcome their difficulties.
The former Germany international's contract at the Emirates Stadium is due to expire next summer, though, and he appears to have played his final game for the London club.
According to reports in Turkey, Ozil has held a secret meeting with Fenerbahce bosses to discuss a pre-contract, which would see him arrive at the club next summer.
However, the experienced attacker would allegedly have to accept a £200,000-a-week wage reduction in order to move to the Istanbul club.
Ozil has scored 44 times and registered 77 assists in 254 appearances for the Gunners since arriving from Real Madrid during the summer of 2013.
