Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil has reportedly decided to fight for his place in the starting lineup at the Emirates Stadium.
Ozil only penned a new long-term contract with the Gunners in February, but the playmaker is not regarded as first choice by new manager Unai Emery and it has left the North London outfit potentially being open to offers for the German's signature.
However, according to ESPN, Ozil will not look to secure a loan move away from the club during the January transfer window.
The report suggests that the 30-year-old would prefer to try to win over Emery, while Ozil is also confident that opportunities will be given to him due to the club's potential hectic schedule in different competitions.
Ozil has contributed four goals and two assists from 16 outings in the Premier League and Europa League this season.
