Good evening! With less than half an hour until kickoff, let's start by taking a look at the teams for this evening's clash at the Atleti Azzurri D'Italia.
With the league title already in the bag, it's a different look for the visitors this evening, with Antonio Conte having made several changes. Aleesandro Matri and Fabio Qualiarella are given a chance to impress up front, with Mirko Vucinic dropping to the bench.
Meanwhile, it's a strong lineup for Atalanta, as anything but a loss will guarantee them in a place in Serie A for next season. The team's leading goalscorer this season, German Denis, starting up front alongside Giacomo Bonventura, who has netted seven times this campaign.
Atalanta's recent record against tonight's opponents it not a good one. The Bergamo side have lost their last five clashes with Juve, and have not beaten them in over 12 years.
When the two sides met in Turin earlier in the season, it was a comfortable win for the Old Lady, scoring three times in the opening half hour to seal a 3-0 win. Atalanta will hope that Conte's squad rotation and home advantage will ensure a closer contest this evening.
It's been over a month since the hosts took a win in Serie A, drawing twice and losing two games since they beat Inter Milan at the start of April. That game saw Denis, who has 15 goals for the club this season, bag a hat-trick.
The first half gets underway.
Positive starts by both sides at the Atletic Azzurri D'Italia. It was the visitors who took the ball towards their opponents half first, but Atalanta were quick to counter-attack. Neither side have had a real chance at goal yet though.
SAVE!Atlanta are getting a good chunk of the possession but it's the visitors who really look dangerous on the ball at the moment. The home side don't seem to be able to break through Juve's back four.
SUBSTITUTION! It's an early blow for the hosts as Cristian Raimondi is forced off with an injury. Luigi Giorgi comes on in his place.
Juve continue to press for an early goal, this time it's Fabio Quagliarella with a thunderous effort from outside the box following some solid build-up play from Pirlo in midfield, but his shot goes wide.
CHANCE! It Quagliarella again for Juve, after Pirlo curled the ball in from a corner. However, it's off target again for the striker.
It's all Juventus at the moment, the home side just don't seem to be able to penetrate the champions defences. However, Atalanta are defending well themselves. Their opponents have been camped in the final third for much of this opening spell, and have only tested the keeper once.
CHANCE! It's a first sight at goal for Atalanta as the substitute, Giorgi, tries to head the ball in following a dangerous delivery by Cristiano del Grosso, but his effort is just wide of the post.
GOAL! Atalanta 0-1 Juventus (Matri)
Just as I was about to inform you that Atalanta were starting to find their way into the game Juventus get the breakthrough that they have threatened for much of the tie so far.
Andrea Pirlo times his ball into the box perfectly for
Alessandro Matri, who strikes the ball beautifully to find the centre of the Atalanta goal.
It's a big setback for the home side, it looked like they'd weathered an early Juve storm and had started to string together a few decent attacking moves of their own, but they'll have to dig even deeper now if they're to take something from this game.
CHANCE! Atalanta almost pull level as Lionel Scaloni crosses the ball in towards Denis, but his header just creeps wide.
CHANCE! It's another effort for the hosts, this time it's Denis setting up the chance for Bonaventura, but his final touch isn't great, and he spoons it up over the goal.
CHANCE! It's end-to-end stuff at the minute! Paolo de Ceglie has a chance to double the advantage for the champions after Mauricio Isla sends in a superb cross, but his header goes wide for a goal kick.
Atalanta are back on the counter-attack, but Davide Biondini creeps just offside as he bears down on the Juventus goal and calls for the ball from Luca Cigarini. The hosts certainly aren't phased by their opponents' lead.
After a frantic 10 minutes, both sides seem happy just to cool the pace of the game a little. It's been a battle of the midfield in the last couple of minutes, with Atalanta keeping hold of the ball well.
The referee has brought the game to a halt after fans were throwing objects onto the pitch. Conte is shouting out the crowd to behave. It looks like the players are staying out so hopefully things cool down pretty quickly.
And we're back underway. For a game that has very little meaning for the table it certainly matters to the fans, but hopefully they can reign their "passion" in just a little.
Atalanta seem to have regrouped during the stoppage and are on the attack again. Carlos Carmona decides to go for goal from range, and it's not a bad effort but it was always going high.
The home side look desperate to get things level before the break. Del Grosso goes for goal from the edge of the area, but his effort is well off target. Isla gifts Atalanta their first corner of the match, but it's an easy clearance for Juve.
CHANCE! Giorgi looks to set up Biondini with a clever header into the box but the midfielder can't keep his finish on target.
OFF THE POST! German Denis misses the chance to level for the home side by the slenderest of margins as his strike bounces pack of the right upright.
CHANCE! Atalanta are really going for it late in the first half, with del Grosso feeding the ball through to Carlos Carmona, who heads it wide. Naturally there will be a good chunk of time added on because of the earlier crowd issues.
BOOKING! Andrea Pirlo is the first name into the referee's book after he hacked down Luca Cigarini.
Juventus finally seemed to have nullified the Atalanta attack late in the first half. The Old Lady go on the attack, but the half-time whistle is imminent.
HALF TIME: Atalanta 0-1 Juventus
So there you go, it's a 1-0 lead for the Serie A champions at half time against Atalanta at the Atleti Azzuri d'Italia thanks to a fantastic finish from Alessandro Matri in the 18th minute.
Unfortunately, a very entertaining 45 minutes of football was marred by scenes in the crowd, as some flares seemed to get out of control, resulting in the match being stopped for several minutes as debris found its way onto the pitch. Hopefully we don't see a repeat in the second period.
Atalanta were mighty towards the end of the first half, they definitely look good value for an equaliser. Conte will surely be telling his team to push for another after the re-start.
Let's take a quick look at some of the stats from the first half. The home side had 10 efforts at the Juventus goal, but failed to call Marco Storari into action, while the Old Lady had five shots, including two on target.
Juventus had three corners, compared to just one for the hosts, while Atalanta saw 43% of the possession, while Juve had 57%.
Atalanta will need to use their substitutes wisely, after an early injury to Cristian Raimondi forced a change in the seventh minute. A fast-paced first half may have resulted in some weary players for both teams.
Meanwhile, Pirlo will need to be on his best behaviour after picking up a yellow card towards the end of the period for a rash tackle. Conte may choose to take the midfielder off early on, with several big-name players on the bench.
The second half gets underway.
Atalanta start the second half how they finished the first, forcing a corner in the opening minute. However, Juventus make the clearance as Del Grosso tries to force the ball in and go on the counter-attack, but de Ceglie was flagged offside.
CHANCE! Chiellini finds Isla for the visitors but his effort is blocked. Juve force a corner though and Giaccherini gets another chance, but his finish is high and wide.
BOOKING! Luigi Giorgi is shown a yellow card for a messy challenge on Emanuele Giaccherini.
SAVE! On the counter-attack, Bonaventura looks to take advantage of an out-of-formation Juventus, hitting the ball from just outside the penalty area. Despite the distance, it looked to be going in until Storari got a hand to it.
Neither side seems to be able to take control of the game at the moment. Isla looks to set up Matri for his second, but the goalscorer is flagged for offside. The visitors quickly get the ball back, and Giaccherini tries to add to the score, but it goes behind for a goal kick.
SAVE! Storari may have had a quiet first half but Atalanta have been testing the Juve keeper since the re-start. This time, it's Biondini attempting to head in from a Scaloni cross, but Storari reaches up high to prevent the equaliser.
BOOKING! Guglielmo Stendardo is the third player to been a shown a yellow card, after fouling De Ceglie as he pressed towards the Atalanta goal.
The game has got a bit scrappy over the last few minutes. The fast-paced flowing football of the opening half has taken its toll on the players, particularly Atalanta who have really been trying for the equaliser. However, it's affecting their discipline, as some reckless challenges have been flying in.
Just to bring you up to date with the other fixtures in Serie A this evening, Napoli are beating Bologna 3-0, Cagliara's game with Parma is goalless, Lazio are 2-1 up against Inter, Udinese have a 2-1 advantage over Palermo, Catania are being beaten 1-0 by Sampdoria, Siena are a goal down against Fiorentina and it's goalless between Torino and Genoa.
CHANCE! Del Grosso has been looking sharp for the home side this evening and he almost brings them level with a left-footed effort from close range, but he can't get the angle right and it misses.
SUBSTITUTIONS! Juventus send on Nicolas Anelka in place of Fabio Quagliarella and Artuto Vidal for Simone Padoin, who has been largely anonymous this evening. Meanwhile, Maximiliano Moralez is on for Carmona for the hosts.
CHANCE! Atalanta will be kicking themselves if they don't find an equaliser, they've had so many chances fail to find the target since Matri's goal. This time it's Stendardo who sends the ball high as he tries to head in from a Cigarini cross.
CHANCE! It's another shot and another miss for the home side, as Cigarini tries to drill the ball in from 25 yards out, but he went for too much power and not enough finesse, sending his effort high and wide.
BOOKING! Cigarini takes his frustrations out on Nicolas Anelka, bringing the striker down and receiving a yellow card for his troubles.
SUBSTITUTION! Conte makes his final change, sending on Federico Pelusu in place of Paolo de Ceglie, clearly hoping that some fresh legs will finish off their opponents.
Juventus are looking to finish this off now, they've been looking for aggressive for the last five minutes and corner a corner, but Atalanta's defence holds strong.
SUBSTITUTION! It's the final change for the hosts, with Cristiano del Grosso making way for Facundo Parra. Del Grosso has put in quite a shift for Atalanta this evening, but he looks exhausted now.
SAVE! Consigli keeps the Atalanta in the tie, comfortably stopping an Arturo Vidal strike after Giaccherini fed the ball in.
CHANCE! Atalanta just won't give this one up! Lionel Scaloni attempts to level with a curling effort from outside the box, but his effort is blocked. It falls to Stendardo, but he can't find a hole in the Juventus defence, and it's an easy clearance for the champions.
CHANCE! After a solid spell from the home side, Juventus go on the counter and win a free kick. Pirlo's delivery into the box looks dangerous, but Vidal can only smash it out for a goal kick.
Juventus just seem happy to keep hold of the ball now. Atalanta have had so many chances to get themselves back into this match, but if looks like Juve will be able to hold on the win.
FULL TIME: Atalanta 0-1 Juventus
Alessandro Matri's first-half strike was enough for secure all three points for the already-crowned Serie A champions, despite a resilient display from Atalanta.
Ultimately it was accuracy that cost the home side. They had 20 attempts at the Juventus goal, but only three were on target.
However, there is good news for Atalanta. Other results from this evening's matches mean that the club is seven points clear of the drop zone with just two games to play, meaning that they have secured their place in the league for another season.
