Kevin Strootman scored a late goal to earn Roma a 1-1 draw with Atalanta BC and maintain their unbeaten start to the season in Serie A.
Roma came close to opening the scoring, when Marquinho's strike was pushed wide by the keeper.
The home side had a good chance to go ahead when a free kick fell kindly to Franco Brienza inside the box, but Morgan De Sanctis kept out his low effort.
At the start of the second half, Atalanta took the lead, as De Sanctis failed to keep out Davide Brivio's low free kick.
The visitors pushed for an equaliser and Strootman saw his fierce strike from the edge of the box pushed wide by the keeper.
Roma felt they had levelled the scores when Michael Bradley headed home Leandro Castan's cross, but it was ruled offside.
In the final minute of the game Roma equalised as Strootman slotted home Adem Ljajic's pass from close range to move his team top of the table and continue their fine start to the campaign.
