Athletic Bilbao forward Iker Muniain has returned to first-team training following five months on the sidelines with a serious knee injury.
The 22-year-old suffered knee ligament damage during Bilbao's La Liga fixture against Sevilla on April 4, with initial reports suggesting that the Spaniard would be out of action for seven months.
However, Mundo Deportivo reveals that the youngster was able to take part for 40 minutes of a training session on Tuesday, which was his first involvement since the injury occurred.
That said, Muniain is still expected to remain unavailable to play for another month as he bids to strengthen the muscles surrounding the damage.
The Spanish international has been in the Bilbao first team since 2009.
