Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone has insisted that his team will be ready for a Levante backlash when the pair meet in Valencia on Sunday afternoon.
Atletico, who are still second in the La Liga table, realistically need to win both of their final two league games to stand a chance of beating leaders Barcelona and third-placed Real Madrid to the crown.
On paper, Atletico have the easiest fixture of the top three this weekend, but Simeone believes that already-relegated Levante will be keen to claim a scalp in their final home game of the season.
"Our enthusiasm, perseverance, to reach the final day with options is still intact. They'll want to give a good image, in their last home game, and will want to compete better against Atleti," Simeone told AS.
"I'm happy, because I know there'll be a lot of our people there. The reality is what it is. We have the imperative to win and from there to think about the next game. We have to take care of this game, which is important against a team that has just gone down, who are hurt by the situation and who want to have a good game."
Barcelona welcome Espanyol tomorrow afternoon, while Real Madrid will host Valencia.
