Newcastle United have reportedly added West Ham United star Jarrod Bowen to a three-man shortlist of right-wingers ahead of the summer transfer window.

Bowen has established himself as an integral first-team player for the Hammers since joining the club in January 2020, and he memorably scored the winning goal in the 2022-23 Europa Conference League final.

The 27-year-old is currently preparing to represent England at Euro 2024 and heads into the tournament after scoring 20 goals and registering 10 assists in 44 games for West Ham last season.

According to Football Insider, Newcastle are plotting a move for a new right winger this summer and Bowen has been added to a list of targets that also includes Athletic Bilbao's Nico Williams and Leeds United's Crysencio Summerville.

Newcastle's transfer business will likely depend on whether they can raise funds from player sales amid their financial predicament, with Alexander Isak and Bruno Guimaraes two standout names who have been linked with an exit.

Over in Germany, Bayern Munich have reportedly stepped up their pursuit of Fulham midfielder Joao Palhinha ahead of the summer transfer window.

The Bundesliga giants came close to recruiting the 28-year-old last summer after reaching an agreement with Fulham, but the move collapsed at the 11th hour on deadline day as the Cottagers were unable to sign a replacement.

Palhinha, who was also the subject of a £45m bid from West Ham last summer, went on to star for Fulham in 2023-24, making 33 Premier League appearances as Marco Silva's side secured a 13th-placed finish.

According to The Athletic, Bayern have reignited their interest in Palhinha and have submitted an offer in the region of €35m (£29.8m).

It remains to be seen whether Bayern's offer is an acceptable one for Fulham, but vice-chairman Tony Khan admitted in February that the club would be open to selling Palhinha for the right price this summer.

Meanwhile, Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly on the verge of completing their first permanent signing of the summer transfer window.

Gary O'Neil is keen to bolster his squad following a disappointing end to the 2023-24 season, finishing 14th in the Premier League, and attacking reinforcements are believed to be a priority.

According to the Daily Mail, Wolves have beaten Atletico Madrid in the race to sign Rodrigo Gomes and have agreed a £12.7m deal with Braga.

The report adds that the 20-year-old is due to arrive in England at some stage this week ahead of undergoing a medical and penning a five-year contract.

Gomes, who is comfortable operating as either a wing-back or winger, impressed on loan at Estoril Praia last season and chipped in with seven goals in 30 appearances. body check tags ::
