Atletico Mineiro president Alexandre Kalil remains confident that the club will complete the capture of Nicolas Anelka.
Kalil announced on his Twitter page just over a week ago that the Frenchman had moved to Brazil.
However, the striker, who was sacked by West Bromwich Albion in March for gross misconduct, is yet to be officially unveiled by the club.
Despite Anelka being spotted by an Arabic website attending an Islamic conference in Kuwait, Kalil has insisted that he is working on the 35-year-old's deal.
"I'm dealing with it right now and between now and tomorrow lunchtime I'll have it fixed," Kalil told AS.
Anelka's West Brom contract was terminated after he announced on Twitter that he wanted to leave The Hawthorns.
The forward claimed that he was not prepared to abide by the club's conditions after he was handed a five-match ban by the Football Association for performing an alleged anti-semitic 'quenelle' gesture during a goal celebration in December.
