Relive our text commentary as Augsburg took on Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga and were beaten 2-1.

Augsburg hosted Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga and fell to their first league defeat to them, despite taking the lead.

Tobias Werner turned in from close range after Diego Benaglio had made a couple of decent stops, but despite a number of chances Wolfsburg scored through Maximilian Arnold and then Luiz Gustavo to turn it around.

In the second half they held on well to claim their first away win of the season and move up to ninth.

Read how the action unfolded below.

Hello all and thanks for joining me for tonight's second Bundesliga game. Only a few minutes until kickoff, so here are the teams!
AUGSBURG XI: Manninger; Verhaegh, Callsen-Bracker, Hong, Ostrzolek; Baier; Hahn, Moravek, Altintop, Werner; Molders
WOLFSBURG XI: Benaglio; Ochs, Naldo, Knoche, Rodriguez; Medojevic, Gustavo; Arnold, Diego, Schafer; Olic
KICKOFF: The hosts get us underway and win a corner straight away.
CHANCE! Augsburg have started well, with lots of early possession. Wolfsburg are sitting quite deep and their plan is clearly to use their pace when they can get hold of the ball. Halil Altintop should score for the hosts but Benaglio keeps him out from close range.
Free kick against Tobias Werner but he's very unlucky there. It's a bad pass from Knoche to give the ball away and Ochs goes down a little bit too easily for my liking - some say he has used his experience, though...
GOAL! Augsburg 1-0 Wolfsburg (Tobias Werner)
That's harsh on Benaglio as he's just made two decent saves. Altintop is played in on the right side of the box but his effort is kept out. It comes to Moravek with Benaglio keeping that out too, before finally Werner slams it in. Augsburg deserve that goal.
CHANCE! Another chance for Werner there. Hahn does really well down the right and his cross means that Werner just has to check his run, but still he met the ball first and should have done better than finding Benaglio. Augsburg are well on top.
Wolfsburg just can't get themselves into the game. Diego is coming deep and trying his best, but Augsburg are defending very rigidly, yet managing to open up coming forward.
CLOSE Selfish from Arnold. He has Olic in the box waiting for the tackle but instead fires a shot over. Only just over, but there were better options.
Wolfsburg are playing some better football, but are really struggling to create chances. At the other end Moravek appeals for a penalty against Rodriguez, but it was drilled straight at his chest.
Oh dear Diego. A training ground free kick is laid into the path of Diego from well out but he flashes it well over the bar. Really, really high over the bar.
Werner so close to adding another! Hahn skids in a brilliant ball from the right and he's so close to making contact to turn it in.
Misplaced pass there from Medojevic as Wolfsburg looked to work a chance. They are looking calm on the ball now, but there's seemingly still no way through. Good cross from Rodriguez from the left, but his cross is headed away.
CHANCE! Hahn still creating problems. He twists and turns down the right but no-one meets his cross. Werner picks it up on the left and puts it back across goal, but Altintop's effort goes wide. He will have wanted to hit the target, as at the other end Arnold fires a strike from range not far wide.
GOAL! Augsburg 1-1 Wolfsburg (Maximilian Arnold)
That's a fine strike from Arnold, who gets the ball just outside the box and drills it hard and low into the bottom corner. Manninger went the wrong way, but the defenders allowed him far too much room.
The goal was scarcely deserved, but Augsburg only have themselves to blame for not putting more than one of their chances away. They're back on top, though, with Hahn looking to cross from the right at any opportunity.
BOOKING: Diego goes into the book. His boot was high and it was mistimed, he cannot have any complaints there.
BOOKING: Ostrzolek quickly follows Diego into the book and that could have been more to be honest. He had two feet off the ground and went in almost from behind - that's nasty on replay.
GOAL! Augsburg 1-2 Wolfsburg (Luiz Gustavo)
Even more reason for Ostrzolek to be blamed. Directly from the free kick Rodriguez whips it right into the middle and the summer signing from Bayern slams his header into the top corner. Wolfsburg now lead!
HALF-TIME: Augsburg 1-2 Wolfsburg
Boos ring around the ground at the whistle, but Augsburg have not been bad at all. If anything they have created the better chances but as so often happens the opposition have grown in confidence and now lead at the break.
In truth Hahn and Werner have torn it up and Wolfsburg have a lot to thank Benaglio for for making a number of really good stops. In that respect Augsburg should be ahead, but as it stands Wolfsburg are on track for their first away win of the season.
At the back they only have themselves to blame, because both Wolfsburg goals were avoidable. With Arnold's equaliser he had so much time to pick his spot as he simply wasn't closed down. Then Gustavo's header - he was left completely unmarked. Perhaps he's not the most prolific in the air but he is a big presence and always a threat.
Augsburg just need to keep it up. They're behind, but they can't do a lot more in terms of creating chances and using the ball. They just have to hope that they get their just rewards.
The players are coming back out. Can Augsburg turn this around? The crowd are making good noise to start the half.
KICKOFF: Here we go then. Wolfsburg get us back underway looking to hold this lead.
Augsburg have started well and have seen a lot of the ball early on. Hong then brings down Arnold at the other end in a dangerous position for a free kick.
SAVE: Rodriguez is the one of four Wolfsburg players hovering around the free kick to take it, and forces Manninger into a diving save to his right. It was at a good height but he still needed to get it away.
BOOKING: Arnold takes a yellow card for the team as Augsburg looked to break with a cynical pull on Werner.
Good work by the right-back Ochs who got all the way to the byline. However, having got there his cross-shot flies over the bar. He hasn't scored for Wolfsburg yet.
BOOKING: Verhaegh is the next player booked, taking down Schafer as the winger was just too quick for him. They have had a lot of free kicks around 30-35 yards out, the visitors.
Manninger does well to hold on to Naldo's skidding effort that took a deflection on its way through to him. Knoche was following up but the former Arsenal man clung on.
Chance for Hahn - well, a half chance. He meets Werner's cross, but was too far out to do anything with it and puts his header well wide. That's better from Augsburg, who have struggled to get into this half since the beginning of it.
Augsburg nick the ball in midfield through Moravek, but his pass to Hahn was underhit and Naldo sticks his long leg in to pinch it away. that was a huge chance to create something.
Olic has yet to have a proper chance, but the former Bayern man has been tireless so far. He has often had to hold it up to wait for support - the support that would usually come from the missing Vieirinha.
Diego does really well there to skin a couple of players before Ostrzolek brings him down. The youngster is on thin ice as he's always been booked. It's a tactical battle at the moment, with Wolfsburg trying to hold Augsburg off with slow passing.
SUBS: It's an attacking change for Wolfsburg, with Perisic on for Arnold in a straight-swap. For Augsburg, Marcel De Jong comes on for Ostrzolek.
Clumsy from Moravek, who is frustrated when Gustavo gets to the ball first and pulls him down. There's not a lot of attacking intent at the moment from Wolfsburg - will they be able to hold on?
Even when they have the chance to break, as the did there with Diego, they prefer to keep numbers behind the ball. Diego's pass to Perisic is slightly short and Augsburg look to break but a good tackle from Gustavo disrupts their flow. They come again but in the end De Jong's ball over the top is deflected to the keeper.
WOLFSBURG SUB: Stefan Kutschke is on for Olic. He's in no hurry to come off and looks knackered - that's fair enough he's been all over the front line.
AUGSBURG SUB: De Jong goes through the back of Diego, who goes down in a heap. Meanwhile, Raphael Holzhauser, on loan from Stuttgart, is on for Moravek.
Good early input from Holzhauser who wins a corner wide on the right with an attempted cross. He takes it himself and after a bit of frantic defending the ball skids through and out for a throw, which Ochs will take.
SAVE! Good stop from Manninger but an equally good effort from Diego. He twists and turns in the box and shoots at the near post, but Manninger gets a huge hand to it to get it wide.
BOOKING: Another booking and this time it's Ochs, who pushes high up the pitch and fouls Werner. He won't mind too much as Wolfsburg can now regroup.
Free kick for Wolfsburg here as Gustavo is fouled. Bit of late pressure is immediately off Wolfsburg with that foul. Instead the away side have a throw right up the pitch, just where they want it.
WOLFSBURG SUB: Ochs throws the ball right down the line and Wolfsburg keep it in the corner. Another tactical move here as Timm Klose comes on for Schafer. There have been four minutes added on.
Holzhauser looks for an angled ball in behind to Milik, but it was asking a bit too much of him and Wolfsburg have it back. The Austrian then tries a one-two with Verhaegh, but is fouled.
The youngster then completely wastes the free kick by hitting it too deep into the arms of Benaglio. It doesn't look like they'll create the chance they need.
And again! Gustavo handballs and Holzhauser makes it easy for Benaglio once more. That is surely the last chance.
FULL TIME: Augsburg 1-2 Wolfsburg
Wolfsburg get their first win over Augsburg in the Bundesliga and what an important one. It's also their first away win of the season. They were perhaps fortunate to be leading at the break, but it was a good second-half showing and they held on well.
Thanks for joining me. That's all from the Bundesliga for today. However, please stick around on site for the latest results and reaction to today's sporting action. Goodbye.
