Cesc Fabregas has expressed his delight at reaching the Euro 2012 final with Spain following his country's penalty shootout win over Portugal.
The Barcelona midfielder, who came off the bench to score the deciding spot kick, described the victory as "amazing".
He told Telecinco: "The team has worked so hard. I had the feeling that there would be penalties tonight. I wanted to take one if we had this opportunity.
"To be honest, I am very excited. To reach another final in four years is amazing."
Spain, who found themselves under pressured at times, were tied 0-0 with Portugal after 90 minutes and the extra time that followed, coming out 4-2 winners on pens.
La Roja will face the winner of the match between Germany and Italy in the final.
