Sports Mole rounds up all of Barcelona's latest injury and suspension news ahead of their Europa League playoff second leg with Napoli.
Sports Mole

Barcelona will aspire to advance to the last-16 of the 2021-22 Europa League when they meet Napoli in the second leg of their playoff encounter on Thursday night.

Xavi's side were held to a 1-1 draw at Camp Nou in the first leg, as Piotr Zielinski's effort was cancelled out by Ferran Torres's second-half penalty.

La Blaugrana warmed up for this encounter in ideal fashion with a 4-1 La Liga thumping of Valencia at the Mestalla, but the injury problems are not letting up for Xavi.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of the team's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the second leg.

Ansu Fati

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: Unknown

Ansu Fati has opted against surgery following his latest hamstring problem, and the teenager is still several weeks away from a return to action.

Sergi Roberto

Status: Out
Type of injury: Thigh
Possible return date: Unknown

Unlike Fati, Sergi Roberto did go under the knife in order to treat a thigh problem, and the versatile Spaniard will not be back in time for the second leg.

Samuel Umtiti

Status: Out
Type of injury: Foot
Possible return date: Unknown

Out-of-favour defender Samuel Umtiti suffered a foot fracture during a training session last month and is expected to be out for another couple of months following surgery.

Memphis Depay

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: February 24 (vs. Napoli)

Memphis Depay - who is being linked with a move away from the club - was not ready to return from a hamstring problem at the weekend and is only thought to have a slim chance of returning for Thursday's game.

Alejandro Balde

Status: Out
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: Unknown

Up-and-coming left-back Alejandro Balde is working his way back from an ankle problem but is not expected to return until the middle of March at the earliest.

Clement Lenglet

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: Unknown

Clement Lenglet's hamstring injury kept him out of the win over Valencia, and the French defender is unlikely to be ready for the trip to Napoli either.

Frenkie de Jong

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Fatigue
Possible return date: February 24 (vs. Napoli)

Xavi revealed after the Valencia win that Frenkie de Jong's substitution on the hour mark was down to fatigue, but the Dutchman is still expected to recover in time for Thursday.

Eric Garcia

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Discomfort
Possible return date: February 24 (vs. Napoli)

Eric Garcia was an early substitution at half-time on Sunday due to an apparent thigh issue, but he is not reported to be nursing anything serious and should make the squad here.

BARCELONA'S SUSPENSION LIST

Barcelona have no players suspended for this match, with Gerard Pique back from a ban and Jordi Alba's yellow card suspension carrying over to his side's next domestic encounter with Athletic Bilbao.
