Neymar has claimed that Lionel Messi's penalty pass during Barcelona's 6-1 win over Celta Vigo on Sunday night was actually meant for him and not Luis Suarez.
Barcelona were 3-1 ahead against Celta at Camp Nou when the home side were handed a penalty, which Messi stepped forward to take.
Instead of shooting, the Argentine rolled the ball to the side, where Suarez was waiting to fire home.
It had been questioned whether the penalty was actually meant for Suarez, who completed his hat-trick with the goal, and Neymar has revealed that he was supposed to run on to the flick.
"We tested [the penalty] in training. The penalty was for me, but Luis was closer and he finished it off. We're very happy about it. Our friendship is the most important thing, no matter who scores," Neymar told TV3.
Neymar eventually netted late on as Barcelona made it 30 games unbeaten in all competitions with another thumping win.
