Barcelona midfielder Xavi has insisted that he is not fazed by criticism of his own performances.
The veteran Spaniard has struggled to find his best form this season, while Barca have also been short of their own high standards for periods of the season.
However, Xavi has insisted that the team remains united under both criticism and praise of their performances.
"You can't live in the past. Football is all about the present. I read the sporting newspapers every morning, I know I'm going to find critics and I like facing them. I struggle, they implicate me. I'm not one who lets those things get to me," Xavi told El Pais Semanal.
"I think about how we can improve and how we can win over the people. This is Barca, they're going to criticise you here. We talk about this in the dressing room; you can't live and die by the praise nor the criticism."
Xavi is widely expected to hang up his boots this summer.
