Winger Ousmane Dembele reportedly refused to leave Barcelona during the summer transfer window, contributing to the failure of the club's bid for Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar.
The Brazil international had been heavily linked with a return to Camp Nou since the end of last season, only for a move failing to materialise before Monday's deadline.
While Barcelona were unable to agree a fee with PSG, L'Equipe claims that a deal was not completed due to the stance taken by Dembele.
The report claims that the France international did not want to give up on his time with the Catalan giants after an indifferent two years.
Despite being brought in as a direct replacement for Neymar in 2017, Dembele has contributed just 11 goals from 47 outings in La Liga.
