Napoli will reportedly re-ignite their interest in Barcelona's Javier Mascherano when the January window opens.
The Argentine was strongly linked with the Italian side in the summer, but Barca refused to sell the versatile 30-year-old.
While Mascherano is said to be happy at the Camp Nou, it is understood that he does want to sample Serie A football.
According to AS, the player's close relationship with Napoli boss Rafael Benitez is another strong part of the possible deal.
Mascherano has played in both defence and midfield for Barca this season.
