BATE Borisov are nearing qualification for the Champions League as they lead 1-0 away at Partizan in the second leg, giving them a 2-0 aggregate advantage.
The home side went close to taking an early lead as Andrija Zivkovic darted down the wing, but his cross was headed over by Aboubakar Oumarou.
BATE also had an early opportunity, but Nikolay Signevich headed Filip Mladenovic's cross over the bar, before they took the lead through Igor Stasevic, who guided the ball into the net after the keeper saved Zivkovic's shot.
The away side almost doubled their lead minutes later, but Alexsandr Volodko shot wide from the edge of the box.
Partizan pushed hard for an equaliser, but will now need to score three times to progress.
