Bayern Munich will be looking to qualify for the knockout stages of the Champions League with a win against Red Bull Salzburg on Wednesday.
Having won their opening three matches of Group A, including a thrilling 6-2 victory in their most recent European fixture at Salzburg three weeks ago, one more win will guarantee Hansi Flick's side safe passage through to the last 16 of Europe's elite competition for the 13th consecutive season.
Salzburg, meanwhile, are marooned to the bottom of the group having only picked up a solitary point, and would be all but out of the competition should they lose to Bayern and Atletico Madrid defeat Lokomotiv Moscow as expected in the other match in the group on Wednesday.
Here, Sports Mole rounds up Bayern's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Wednesday's Champions League clash with Jesse Marsch's side at the Allianz Arena.
Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: January 8 (vs. Borussia Monchengladbach)
Joshua Kimmich was substituted in the first half after coming off worse in a tackle with Erling Braut Haaland against Borussia Dortmund on November 6, with the Germany international expected to be out until the New Year having sustained meniscus damage.
Status: Out
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: December 5 (vs. RB Leipzig)
Alphonso Davies is expected to be ready for first-team action again in early December having been subbed off after just three minutes of Bayern's 5-0 victory over Eintracht Frankfurt on October 24. The Canada left-back was confirmed to have torn a ligament in his ankle.
Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Pelvis
Possible return date: November 25 (vs. Red Bull Salzburg)
Lucas Hernandez has capably replaced Davies in recent weeks, but he was forced off the field in only the 19th minute during Bayern's 1-1 draw with Werder Bremen on Saturday after suffering a pelvic bruise when Theodor Gebre Selassie slipped and clattered into the France full-back. Depending on the extent of the bruising, Flick may not risk Hernandez against Salzburg, with Bouna Sarr and David Alaba other options in his position.
Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Muscular
Possible return date: November 25 (vs. Red Bull Salzburg)
France manager Didier Deschamps described Corentin Tolisso's injury, which forced the midfielder to withdraw from the French national team squad on November 15, as only a "slight problem" and "nothing serious". However, it was enough to keep Tolisso out of Bayern's 1-1 draw with Werder Bremen on Saturday, so it remains to be seen if Flick feels the 26-year-old - who resumed full training on Sunday - is ready to return to the side against Salzburg.
