Bayern Munich are reportedly close to extending striker Mario Gomez's contract.
Gomez, whose current contract at the Allianz Arena expires at the end of next season, is understood to be on the verge of agreeing what will be a £38m deal to keep him at the club for at least another five seasons, according to German newspaper Bild.
"We know that Mario is comfortable in Munich," the club's sporting director Christian Nerlinger said.
The former Stuttgart forward will receive £1.5m extra per annum should he agree to the new deal.
Gomez, who joined the Bavarian giants over two seasons ago, has scored 56 goals in 81 appearances.
