Pep Guardiola has insisted that returning to the top of the Bundesliga was not on his mind following Bayern Munich's 4-0 victory over SC Paderborn on Tuesday.
Despite claiming a win which saw his side replace Paderborn as league leaders, Guardiola believes that the vital thing to take away from the game was the improvement in Bayern's style of play.
"We played very well for the first 25 minutes," the Spaniard told reporters. "Overall, I'm pleased because our build-up play has improved.
"We're top now, but that's not what matters at the moment. What matters is the way we play."
Bayern are two points clear of their two closest challengers, Hoffenheim and Mainz 05, after five games.
