Bayern Munich sporting director Matthias Sammer has claimed that new signing Arturo Vidal will be a "good fit" for the club.
The Chilean international midfielder finalised his move to the German champions from Juventus on Tuesday.
Sammer is in no doubt that the 28-year-old, who was linked with the likes of Manchester United and Arsenal last summer, will have a positive impact on Bayern.
"He is physically strong, powerful, technically strong, he can score goals and is tactically good. He is also a winner with his way of playing football. Those qualities will be a good fit for Bayern," he told reporters.
"The way he plays football impresses me. He is something special. I don't know if he is a similar player to what I was. But that doesn't matter. He is here now – and he is welcome."
Vidal has penned a four-year contract with Bayern for a reported fee of £25m.
