Bayern Munich could increase their lead at the top of the Bundesliga table to 13 points with a win over Stuttgart at the Mercedes-Benz Arena on Wednesday evening.
The reigning champions have been unstoppable again this season and look destined to cruise to another title via a record-breaking campaign.
The Bavarian giants have picked up a staggering 47 points from a possible 51 this season and have won their last nine matches in a row in the league.
Only Manchester City have beaten Pep Guardiola's side in all competitions this season, although they did slip up during a mid-season friendly against Salzburg recently, losing 3-0.
A repeat performance is unlikely to happen on Wednesday, especially considering that Bayern have won their last nine meetings with Stuttgart.
The visitors have not lost on their travels in the Bundesliga since April 2012, a run that stretches back 27 matches and includes 23 victories.
Stuttgart, meanwhile, have won just one of their last five league matches and began the second half of the season with a disappointing 2-1 home defeat at the hands of Mainz.
That defeat leaves them 12th in the table, just three points clear of the relegation playoff spot and five above the bottom two.
However, should the hosts record an unlikely victory in their game in hand, then they would jump up two places in 10th, leapfrogging Werder Bremen and Hannover.
Hannover, incidentally, are the only team that Stuttgart have beaten in front of their own fans since the start of September, one of just two home victories for the club all season.
