Bundesliga leaders Bayern Munich have defeated Augsburg 2-0 away from home in the Bavarian derby.
The visitors were always in control of the match and pressed their hosts right from the start.
Dante had his header from close range saved by Mohamed Amsif in the seventh minute, and three minutes later Mario Mandzukic was denied by the Augsburg goalkeeper.
Minutes later Javi Martinez narrowly missed the target with a left-footed shot from outside the box, before Mandzukic once again saw his attempt thwarted by Amsif.
Augsburg were struggling to make any meaningful attempt on the Bayern goal and went ahead six minutes before the half-time interval.
Gibril Sankoh handled the ball inside his own penalty area, and Thomas Muller converted the resulting spot kick with ease.
Bayern doubled their advantage in the 63rd minute when Mario Gomez was released by Franck Ribery and shot home with his left foot.
The German striker came close to adding to his tally six minutes later when his header from a Martinez pass went narrowly high of the Augsburg crossbar.
Bastian Schweinsteiger also made an attempt on the home side's goal in the 76th minute, but was denied by a good save by Amsif.
