Bayern Munich have defeated Eintracht Frankfurt 1-0 away from home in the Bundesliga.
The game had a bright start with both sides having a chance each inside the opening four minutes. First Bastian Schweinsteiger planted a header too high from a Franck Ribery corner and then Takashi Inui tested Manuel Neuer down low from the edge of the box.
In the 13th minute the deadlock was broken, and unsurprisingly it was Bayern with the goal. Thomas Muller crossed low to the waiting Mario Mandzukic, who slammed the ball high into the net.
Frankfurt battled back and had a chance through Alexander Meier, who met Stefan Aigner's cross, but his header was straight at Neuer.
In the second half Bayern were not as dominant as they would have liked and Mandzukic missed a glorious chance with his head midway through it.
Bayern began to get on top as the half wore on and Thiago Alcantara had an effort from outside the box saved, but there were no more goals as Bayern edged the win.
