It was a weakened Bayern Munich side but they still cruised past Nuremberg at the Allianz Arena in the Bundesliga by a score of 4-0.
Despite all the changes, it did not take long for Bayern to find their rhythm and they were ahead in the fifth minute when Jerome Boateng was quickest to a loose ball following a corner.
Then in the 17th minute it was 2-0 as Boateng turned provider, setting up Mario Gomez for a low finish from near the penalty spot.
Nuremberg could not venture out of their own half and in the 25th minute Bayern made it 3-0, Claudio Pizarro setting up Rafinha to slot the ball into the bottom corner.
Just after the restart Nuremberg had a great chance to reduce the deficit but Timmy Simons's penalty was saved by Tom Starke.
The second half continued with the same dominance from the hosts and 10 minutes into the half Bayern had their fourth goal as Xherdan Shaqiri finished tidily from just inside the box.
