Bayern Munich defender Holger Badstuber has signed a new contract with the German club that will see him remain at the Allianz Arena until June 2017.
The centre-back, whose original contract was due to run out next summer, had already agreed to extend his current deal and put pen to paper on Friday.
"It's always special when it's time to sign, especially for a club like this," he told Bayern's official website. "I'm extremely pleased."
Badstuber, who is currently sidelined with a cruciate ligament injury he suffered against Borussia Dortmund in December last year, added that he feels Bayern's support.
"It was a nice signal and a gesture of support from the club," said the 23-year-old. "It's making me push even harder in rehab."
Badstuber is a graduate of Bayern's youth academy and made his debut for the first team in 2009.
