Belgium midfielder Eden Hazard has said that his country can learn from their defeat by Argentina in the quarter-finals of the World Cup.

Gonzalo Higuain's early goal sealed a 1-0 win for the South Americans, as the Belgians were knocked out.

It was the first time that the Red Devils had reached the last eight of the tournament in 28 years, but Higuain is confident that his side can bounce back and has praised them for their performances in Brazil.

"We were just lacking a little bit of luck. The early goal was a big blow," Hazard is quoted as saying by FIFA.com.

"I'm very disappointed, but we've still had a very good World Cup – we achieved our original objective, after all.

"We were taught a useful lesson, and it'll be up to us to learn from it. We've got a young, highly talented team. We need to look to the future. We've already done really well to get this far."

Hazard has scored six goals in his 50 appearances for the Belgium national side.
