Blackburn Rovers boss Gary Bowyer has hailed his side's performance during their goalless draw away to Liverpool in the FA Cup this afternoon.
The Championship side were resolute at the back as they earned a replay in the quarter-final tie, holding the potent attack of the Reds at bay, with the biggest scare coming when Kolo Toure hit the post with a second-half header.
Bowyer feels that his side may benefit from the state of the pitch at Ewood Park in the replay, which he is hopeful could springboard their push to reach the last four of the competition.
He told BBC Sport: "You come to Anfield and keep a clean sheet, it is a fantastic achievement from our players.
"A lot of our team are young lads trying to make their way and to come here and have the experience is another massive boost in their development.
"We bring them back to Ewood Park and we hope we will have full crowd. It's something our fans really deserve. The pitch at Ewood is nowhere near the standard here so it might be a bit of a leveller for us."
The date of the replay has yet to be confirmed by the Football Association.
