Blackburn Rovers have revealed that the injury Jordan Rhodes suffered in a pre-season friendly on Saturday is not serious and that he should be fit for the start of the season.
There was concern in the first half against Accrington Stanley as the striker was stretchered off and then emerged on crutches from the dressing room.
However, the Championship club believe that Rhodes will be "out of action for just a week to 10 days" after he underwent a scan yesterday.
Since joining Blackburn from Huddersfield Town three years ago, Rhodes has scored 73 goals for the Lancashire outfit.
