Henning Berg has reportedly moved to the front of the pack for the managerial vacancy at Blackburn Rovers.
The 43-year-old has been linked with the position, which was left vacant by the departure of Steve Kean, over the last week.
It is understood that Berg was interviewed by the club's officials yesterday and a decision is due to be made within the next 24 hours, according to BBC Sport.
Reports have also claimed that a coach, who is already in management with another club, could be a late contender for the position.
