Blackburn Rovers midfielder David Dunn will miss this weekend's Lancashire derby against Burnley because of minor knee surgery, manager Gary Bowyer has revealed.
Dunn, 33, worsened a knee problem in training on Monday and will now miss the lunchtime kickoff at Turf Moor on Saturday.
"We were fortunate to get him straight into hospital on Tuesday and his rehabilitation is now underway. We hope to welcome him back soon," Bowyer told the club's official website.
Dunn scored a goal and set up another in Blackburn's last match, another Lancashire derby against Bolton Wanderers which Rovers won 4-1.
