Blackburn Rovers striker David Goodwillie has been handed a community service order.
The 23-year-old was handed the punishment after admitting a charge of assault against John Friel on Glasgow's Queen Street in November 2010.
Sheriff Stuart Reid imposed a 12-month probation order on the Scotland international with the conditions that he is of good behaviour and is supervised by a local authority officer.
Goodwillie will also have to complete 80 hours of unpaid work in the community as part of the order.
The centre-forward joined Rovers last summer from Dundee United.
