Lucas Joao has found the net six minutes from time to rescue a point for Sheffield Wednesday at Blackburn Rovers.
Rovers got off to the perfect start as Hope Akpan's first goal for the club put them in front in the fifth minute, the Nigerian thumping in a header from Craig Conway's corner.
Wednesday were level six minutes before half time as Modou Sougou was on hand to put away the rebound after Fernando Forestieri's strike cannoned off the upright.
Paul Lambert's side ended the first half with a flurry and reclaimed the lead a minute before the break when Corry Evans collected a Conway corner on the edge of the box and beat Keiren Westwood in the Wednesday goal with the aid of a deflection.
Rovers started the second period brightly and almost added a third just minutes into the restart as Ben Marshall lined up Akpan in front of goal and the former Reading man fired just over.
Wednesday's equaliser came in the 86th minute when Joao was given too much space in the box, allowing him to head in unchallenged to steal a point for the Owls.
