Blackburn manager Steve Kean has revealed his delight after signing Colin Kazim-Richards on a season-long loan.
The Turkish international, who is Rovers' eighth signing this summer, arrives from Galatasaray with an option of a permanent move at the end of the deal.
Kean believes that the 25-year-old will be a useful addition to his squad, claiming that he has significantly improved during his time in the Turkish league.
"He could be a real versatile player for us as he can play through the middle or he can play out wide," Kean told the club's official website.
"I think in his time abroad he has predominantly played wide and the same for the national team.
"He's got great power in his right foot and technically he has improved dramatically having played with with some top players out in Turkey, so I think he'll be a good addition for us."
Kazim-Richards joined Galatasaray in 2010 from their rivals Fenerbahce.
