Pescara have picked up their first point of the Serie A season with a 1-1 away draw with Bologna on Sunday.
Alessandro Diamanti almost broke the deadlock for Bologna in the early minutes of the game when his cross-shot struck the crossbar.
However, it did not take much long for the hosts to take the lead, as Alberto Gilardino turned in Gyorgy Garics's cross from close range in the ninth minute.
Four minutes from the half-time interval Pescara restored parity when Juan Quintero curled in a brilliant free kick.
The visitors were reduced to 10 men in the 63rd minute after goalkeeper Mattia Perin brought down Gilardino inside the area and was sent off.
Replacement custodian Ivan Pelizzoli then kept out Diamanti's spot kick, as Pescara held on for a 1-1 draw at Stadio Renato Dall'Ara.
