Borussia Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp has declared himself proud of the German champions after they came agonisingly close to beating Real Madrid at the Bernabeu.
Klopp's side held a 2-1 lead going into the final stages against Madrid but were forced to settle for a draw thanks to a last-gasp equaliser from Mesut Ozil.
The Dortmund coach insisted that a point was a brilliant result against the Spanish champions.
He told UEFA.com: "Both teams played at a very high pace and in the first half we had a superb performance.
"It's always a challenge to adjust and prepare against a team like Real. The equaliser was a shame, but you rarely expect a victory when you play over here."
Dortmund are top of Group D with eight points from four games and can qualify for the knockout stages with victory against Ajax in their next Champions League match.
