An early Marco Reus penalty has given Borussia Dortmund a 1-0 lead over Hannover at half time in their Bundesliga clash.
It was a bright start from the hosts and Henrikh Mkhitaryan had an early effort inside the first minute, but directed his effort too centrally.
However, they did not have to wait long to open the scoring. Hiroki Sakai brought down Erik Durm in the box and Reus stepped up to convert from the spot.
It remained one-way traffic and Neven Subotic managed to only direct his header over the bar following a Reus corner.
Near the end of the half Sokratis Papastathopoulos missed the target with a header from Kevin Grosskreutz's corner.
