An early Marco Reus penalty has given Borussia Dortmund a 1-0 win over Hannover in their Bundesliga clash.
There was a bright start from the hosts as Henrikh Mkhitaryan had an early effort inside the first minute, but he directed his effort too centrally.
However, they did not have to wait long to open the scoring. Hiroki Sakai brought down Erik Durm in the box and Reus stepped up to convert from the spot.
It remained one-way traffic and Neven Subotic managed to only direct his header over the bar following a Reus corner.
Near the end of the half Sokratis Papastathopoulos missed the target with a header from Kevin Grosskreutz's corner.
After the break Mkhitaryan had a good chance from the edge of the box, but he was unable to direct his effort into either corner.
Hannover attacked late on and Deniz Kadah had an effort saved but they were unable to snatch a point as Dortmund held on.
