Borussia Dortmund have been held to a 1-1 draw by Fortuna Dusseldorf at home in the Bundesliga.
The defending German champions could have gone ahead as early as the seventh minute when Marcel Schmelzer's shot went narrowly wide.
Two minutes later Schmelzer shot wide again from outside the Fortuna penalty box, before Robert Lewandowski saw his close-range header from a Marco Reus cross saved.
Dortmund continued to dominate proceedings with Felipe Santana heading Reus's delivery just wide in the 32nd minute.
Jurgen Klopp's side eventually broke the deadlock in the 43rd minute when Jakub Blaszczykowski latched on to Kevin Grosskreutz's pass to shoot home from close range.
Blaszczykowski could have doubled his advantage just three minutes into the second half had Fabian Giefer not kept out his header.
Minutes later Neven Subotic tested Giefer with a shot from the centre of the box.
Fortuna restored parity in the 78th minute through Stefan Reisinger, who headed in Robbie Kruse's cross from just yards out.
The visitors ended the game with 10 men on the pitch after Ivan Paurevic was sent off for a second bookable offence in the 87th minute.
